Manhattan Beach is a small and affluent beach town that can be found between Hermosa Beach and El Segundo. With the closely built homes and tiny streets, this area often creates a European feel for residents. There are a number of reasons that you should consider living here, from over 40 acres of recreational beach to all year fishing and ideal weather conditions — but knowing the facts can be helpful when making a final decision.

Hermosa Beach is a sunny small beach city of 1.43 square miles sitting at the center of Los Angeles County’s South Bay coastline, just 5 miles south of Los Angeles. The town is the very essence of the Southern California lifestyle, with temperatures ranging from highs of 77 degrees in the summer to 67 degrees in winter and nighttime temperatures that rarely below 50 degrees. There are a myriad of regular outdoor activities such as volleyball, surfboarding, skateboarding, and boogie boarding to name a few. Other favorite activities include jogging, skating or biking along the Strand, the paved strip paralleling the beach and connecting Hermosa with the neighboring beach cities.

Redondo Beach is located in the choice coastal edge of Los Angeles County, just twenty miles from downtown Los Angeles and seven miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, Redondo Beach has been a preferred resort destination for more than a century and one of the most desirable areas to live in the country. Redondo Beach is a full-service city with its own police, fire and public works departments, two public libraries, a performing arts center, fifteen parks, thirteen parkettes, a large recreational and commercial harbor including King Harbor, a 1,500-slip private craft port; the Redondo Beach Pier and Seaside Lagoon; and a bathing and surfing beach.

El Segundo was incorporated on January 18, 1917. It started as a rancho, and received its name – “The Second” – for being the site to the second oil refinery in the West Coast. Today, with almost 17,000 residents, El Segundo delights, not only because of its cute little shops on Main Street, but for its stretch of sandy beach, high-ranked schools and flourishing businesses, taking this charming town to the Top 15 small cities in California.

Palos Verdes consists of a group of coastal cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, which include Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates. It is a community known for its breathtaking views of the ocean, being the perfect destination for hikers, divers, surfers and horseback riders. The Palos Verdes Peninsula is also notorious for its distinguised schools. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District has one of the highest rated API scores in California.

Torrance was incorporated in 1921. The city was planned by world-famous landscape architects Olmsted and Olmsted. Conveniently located 10 miles from LAX, it has easy access to the major freeways. Torrance is the home of 90,000 street trees, has 30 city parks, a beautiful sandy beach and is consistently identified as one of the safest communities in Los Angeles.
